During the early morning hours of August 1, 2015, deputies with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 10000 block of LA Hwy 1033 in reference to a home invasion in progress.
The suspect fled when it was learned deputies were en route to the scene. Deputies learned the suspect was traveling with a passenger in a gold colored Saturn. At the time, the plate number was unknown.
LPSO Deputies quickly located a vehicle in the vicinity of the crime matching the description of the suspect vehicle. Deputies attempted a traffic stop on Hammack Road in Denham Springs, but the driver of the vehicle initially refused to stop. Finally, the driver yielded to Deputies at the intersection of Hammack and Achord Roads in Denham Springs.
2 men were arrested:
Cody M. Terry
17744 N Achord Rd
Baton Rouge, LA
5576 Truman St
Baton Rouge, La
Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘We learned a lot about this case through our investigation. We learned Cody
Terry went to the residence following a domestic related argument. He kicked doors open gaining access to the residence. He also damaged property in the process. A juvenile was in the backseat of the vehicle
– unsecured – the entire time. The vehicle everyone was traveling in was reported stolen out of the Baton Rouge area. Conley White admitted to having the vehicle in his custody. He also told Deputies he allowed Cody Terry to drive the vehicle.'
Working with law enforcement officials in East Baton Rouge Parish, the registered owner of vehicle was contacted.
Both men remain in the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Please visit http://www.lpso.org/
