Sheriff Ard says, ‘This is a case of two agencies working for the greater good – detectives following the facts, keeping their eyes and ears open – to solve what could have been a difficult crime to close. But, because of what I'd call ‘good ole' fashioned police work – three suspects are now behind bars. I'd call that a good day.'
LPSO Seeking Information on Armed Robbery Suspects
Just after 6:00a.m. on November 7, 2014, members of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Armed Robbery and Burglary Division were called to investigate a robbery of the McDonald's restaurant located on LA Hwy 43 in Albany.
Two black male suspects entered the restaurant – one was armed with an unknown type of handgun.
The armed suspect made his way behind the counter demanding cash from a restaurant employee. An undetermined amount of money was given to the armed suspect. Both suspects then exited the restaurant. The duo then fled in a small gold or silver-colored 4-door sedan. They headed in an easterly direction on Old Baton Rouge Highway.
LPSO Detectives believe a third person was also involved in the robbery - acting as the driver of that get-away vehicle.
Sheriff Jason Ard is asking anyone with information on this crime to call the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office at (225) 686-2241 or Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-STOP(7867).
