Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Motor Division was formed in June 2001. With eight full-time motorcycle officers, the Motor Division exists solely to serve the residents of Livingston Parish.
The primary responsibility of the motor division is to respond to all traffic related incidents inside the parish. This includes traffic crashes, radar patrols, funeral escorts, etc… Additionally, the motor division participates in school activities, such as parades and “career days”. You may see our division assisting local police departments from time to time with their parades. |
If your department is interested in training, contact the Livingston Parish Motor Division at 225-686-2241 ext. 703 or email Hayden Brown at hbrown@lpso.org . We offer a Basic Police Certification Course, as well as a Motorcycle Survival
School. Anyone intersted in the Survival School can download and print a copy of our flyer.
