Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest, Drugs and Money

On March 3, 2015, members of the Livingston Parish Sheriff's office Narcotics Division – with the  assistance of the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole – conducted a consensual search at the residence of Joe Mooney, 26,
of 33701 Duff Road in Walker.

A joint investigation by the 3 above agencies revealed illegal narcotics being sold by Mooney from out of his residence.

Upon execution of the search, these items were seized:

>293 grams of SCH 1 CDS (Marijuana), valued at $30.00 per gram totaling $8,790.00

>7 grams of SCH 1 THC wax (Marijuana), valued at $30.00 per gram totaling $210.00

>5 grams of liquid SCH 1 THC, valued at $30.00 per gram totaling $150.00

>2 grams of SCH 2 CDS, MDMA (Molly), valued at $150.00 per gram totaling $300.00

>20 Individual unit dosages of SCH 2 CDS (Adderall), valued at $10.00 each totaling $200.00

>2 Individual unit dosages of SCH 2 CDS (Clonazepam), valued at $10.00 each totaling $20.00.

**Total dollar amount of Narcotics seized: $9,670.00

Also seized in the search:

>A loaded firearm

>Drug Paraphernalia

>U.S. currency totaling $22,216.00.

*This money is believed to have been earned by Mooney through illegal narcotics transactions.

Joe Mooney is in the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
